Companion Cube Cakeby ~Sarah9555

I had to make a cake for my birthday and usually I just get one from a shop since I don't have anything specific in mind.
This time I chose a Portal theme and went and made the Companion Cube.
We had a square tin, but it wasn't tall so I had to bake two cakes. Then I realized that really I could do with a third one on top or its not the right height still. But I wasn't allowed to bake another cake so I have to stick with 'Half of a Companion Cube'

Note: I've never decorated a cake before. Apart from the time I made icing flowers for my mum XD

1nd note: My Birithday is 26th May. It's not gone past yet. XD

I'm thinking of making one of these for my boyfriend's birthday (he loves Portal), and I was wondering how you did the pink lines. It looks really well done.

On the actual companion cube, the pink lines are slotted in between the dark grey sections, however I didn't want to fuss around with that.
I simply got a tube of pink icing [Mine happened to be glittery XD] and decorated them on top of the dark grey.
